CHRISTUS Health’s 43rd Annual Gala unites philanthropy and music with Martina McBride

4/13/2026

The CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Foundation hosted its 43rd Annual CHRISTUS Gala, highlighted by an unforgettable performance from GRAMMY‑nominated artist Martina McBride. The philanthropic evening raised more than $800,000 in support of the vital health care services provided by the CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System. Proceeds will address critical needs across the system, helping fund lifesaving medical equipment, comprehensive patient care programs and essential services, including SANE and forensic nursing care, women’s health, maternal and newborn care, pediatric programs and Children’s Miracle Network initiatives that support patients and families throughout the region.

“The generosity of our donors and sponsors continues to make a lasting impact on health care in our region,” said Teri Hawthorne, executive director of philanthropy at the CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Foundation. “Philanthropy plays a vital role in helping us deliver high-quality, integrated care while investing in programs and equipment that will strengthen patient outcomes for years to come.”

The CHRISTUS Gala has been a highlight of the Southeast Texas social calendar for over four decades, drawing attendees from across the region to support the health and well-being of the community. Guests enjoyed a sophisticated evening featuring a gourmet dinner, table wine, dessert and live entertainment by McBride, known for hits like “A Broken Wing,” “Wild Angels,” “I Love You” and “Blessed.”
